Biking the Best Alternative

Nowadays people are becoming more conscious regarding health and environment. More and more alternatives are coming to the market promoting products that promises good health. There are even growing advocacy groups fighting for a cleaner environment.

Its pretty obvious that a clean environment has a great contribution to a healthy community.  But in order to achieve a healthy community and a clean environment it has to start with each and everyone's lifestyle. How? Here's for a start...

Since we are all busy making a living everyday we have to eat and ride to work. We really don't mind eating almost anything as long as we complete our everyday meals. A healthy meal needs planning and it takes time for us to shop for fruit and vegetables. Its not even convenient bringing home cooked dishes to work because most of us don't  have enough time to prepare. As a result, we resort to fastfoods as our alternative where the food is very high in cholesterol. Thus, obesity comes in.

Obesity is an abnormal growth of the human body due to overeating. We eat more than we burn calories because we don't have time to exercise. Going to the gym is also expensive and should take a part of our day to do those calorie-burning workouts to achieve a toned body. But majority of us don't have time for the gym or won't spend money for the gym.

The better alternative to burn calories and help achieving a cleaner environment is biking to work. This is a very economical because all we need is a bicycle. We don't have to spend extra for gas or car maintenance or gym fees. All we need is balance so we can start kicking those pedals and enjoy fresh clean air since bicycles don't emit annoying smokes and crazy horns. We are doing exercise at the same time. We can even avoid gruesome car accidents caused by reckless driving. We burn calories, we promote clean air and we save extra cash.
